fire doors

Fire doors provide a critical barrier to both smoke and heat in the event of a fire. Correctly specified and well-fitted doors will hold back fire and smoke, preventing escape routes from becoming unusable, as well as preventing the fire spreading from one area to another. We can offer you a full supply, installation and maintenance service to ensure that your fire doors are installed in accordance with all legislative requirements.

BM TRADA Q MARK fire door installer

Should you require a fire door installation we are a registered BM TRADA Q MARK fire door installer. (BM TRADA are one of the UK’s foremost certification bodies with over 35 years’ experience and accredited by UKAS since 1991.) The certification scheme gives a trace able link from the door manufacture right through to the installation process. To attain this third party certification we have had to undergo a rigorous audit and testing process all of which integrate with our approved Quality Management Scheme, ISO 9001. Please visit www.bmtrada.com for further information on the BM TRADA Q-Mark scheme where you will also find us listed as a certified company.

BM TRADA Q MARK fire door Maintenance

We also hold a BM Trada Q mark certification for fire door maintenance. There is a legal requirement for those responsible for buildings under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order to ensure that all fire doors continue to retain their ability to resist the passage and spread of fire throughout their working lives. However, their fire resistance capabilities can be seriously compromised if they are not maintained by a company that has appropriate knowledge of this complex life safety product.

By being a member of the BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance scheme, we can reassure our customers that we are suitably qualified to carry out the maintenance work to a standard that will allow the product to continue to perform as required.
